What's included?

Revisit the basics

We produced a lot of freely available material on consulting CVs and collated our top tips for you. Revisiting these will enable you to produce a solid first draft of your CV.

Get customized feedback

You share your first draft CV with us (Word or PDF). We will take up to a week to review it and give you granular feedback. Areas we will touch upon:
  • Your overall profile (what are strengths and weaknesses, and where can you improve)
  • Messaging (how you best describe and position your experience and achievements)
  • Formatting (overall layout and details)
If you share a few details about your backstory, you will get even more tailored feedback and advice!

2nd round of feedback

Once incorporated our feedback, you can submit a second version of your CV. We will again give feedback on this new and improved version. This will allow you to make the best impression possible, and polish your CV so it's ready to be sent to all your dream consulting firms!

Why is the CV so important?

The main hurdle!

There is a lot of talk about case interviews. In reality, though, the biggest hurdle for anyone wanting to join consulting is the CV screening. Out of 100 candidates applying for a job, 80 won't pass this first step. Without a strong CV, you won't be among the 20 that get invited and can prove themselves in the interview process.

Your calling card

A CV isn't just a chronological listing of your experiences. It's your very first work sample. You need to produce a strong document that demonstrates some key consulting abilities. So, from storytelling to visual design, a CV showcases many elements that are also relevant for client documents. If you can produce a great CV, recruiters will be more likely to picture you on one of the firm's consulting teams.

Prepare for interviews

By writing a strong CV, you can also reflect on your profile as a whole. What are your strengths and weaknesses? What are your main achievements? Where have you displayed great leadership? All of this will help you better understand yourself. This exercise alone is incredibly useful in preparing for interviews. In the interview process, you will have to tell stories about yourself and your experiences. The CV writing process can help you identify and develop these stories.

Sell yourself

Whether you like it or not, every job is related to sales – in one way or another. For you as a candidate that means presenting yourself in the best possible light. It's not about bragging, it's not about lying. It's about showing strong experiences, talking about them confidently, and understanding the impact you created. Humility is misplaced here, all the other candidates are selling themselves as well. Don't let them win just because they sell themselves better. And once you're on the job, you have to sell results, convince people of your ideas, and ultimately sell projects. See the CV as your medium to sell yourself.

What do we bring to the table

  • Extensive consulting experience

With many years of consulting experience, from intern to leading large projects at MBB firms, we know what the job is about. That's why we know what you need focus on in your CV.

  • Former interviewers

We are and were deeply involved in the recruiting process so we know the discussions that are going on among hiring professionals.

  • We've seen it all

We've reviewed hundreds of CVs in all contexts: at on-campus recruiting events, at networking events, and as coaches. We have reviewed CVs from internship applicants all the way to experienced hires, and we have a global perspective. Whether you're from the US or from India, we are well-placed to give you the right feedback.

  • Recruiter perspective

Some of our team members already left consulting and are now making hiring decisions in corporate environments. We know what it's like to review many CVs, and really only decide upon first impression after skimming it once.

  • Tailored feedback

You will get feedback that's exactly tailored to your situation. If you share your story with us, your career plans and a bit about yourself, we can give you much more targeted advice. This even goes as far as giving you high-level guidance on career decisions.
